Learning Community Management
The PLSystem® provides a comprehensive and intuitive role-based model for the management of communities, learning processes, authoring and reports. The PLSystem® is unique in that all administrative functions are performed with a community centric world view. What this means is that our Web 2.0 functionality is not an add-on but an integral part of how one manages all aspects of learning.

The PLSystem® management services address the following areas:
-
Create communities to support a broad range of community-based learning scenarios.
-
Create instructional design communities where teams of designers and subject matter experts collaborate to design learning experiences.
-
Configure communities for different purposes such as best practice teams, learning communities or just areas for collaboration and social networking.
-
Configure the kinds of content that can be created and viewed within a community.
-
Schedule classes ranging from self-paced independent study to collaborative synchronous training events.
-
Control how community users can become members of a community.
-
Configure different user registration processes including processes involving minors with COPPA compliance requirements.
-
Set up organization-wide default branding as well branding individual communities.
-
Update your privacy and terms of use policies.
Reporting
Reporting is community-centric providing all learning communities participants visibility into the learning experience. Administrators get an overview of learning progress within their scope of control. Instructors see how their learners are progressing and learners see their own individual progress. Managers can see overall learning participation and results.
The PLSystem® reports are tailorable at both the system and user role level. The training coordinator can further tailor existing reports to meet their user's needs.
The PLSystem® reporting capabilities are unique in their ability to report on actual learning not just learning events. Because they track learning, the PLMS reports provide greater insight into student progress than other e-Learning systems.
