Profound Learning Delivery System (PLDS)

The PLDS, a high-performance, web-based, learning delivery system, incorporates best practices from the field of accelerated learning to impart high levels of knowledge retention to each student. PLS has demonstrated massive improvements in retained knowledge using this process when compared to other technology-based training approaches.

What's unique about the PLDS is that each student is engaged in a unique learning process that is continuously adapting to that student's learning needs. The PLDS uses the patented Adaptive Knowledge Retention system (AKR) to work with the student to attain a high level of retention of the essential knowledge in a course. The AKR literally remembers what the student learns and does not learn, and dynamically customizes a study plan that is unique to each student; hence, an enterprise could have an unlimited number of students, each with their own individualized knowledge retention program, all accomplished without traditional testing.

The PLDS provides the expected complement of features, such as a course catalog, on-line help and support services, and exams that can be utilized to deliver student assessments and certification. While taking a course a student can also capture ideas and notes in a journal, which they can use to supplement their learning experience. An integrated collaboration area, called the Profound Learning Community (PLCommunity), allows students to discuss topics and share articles and web sites to strengthen their learning. These collaborative activities can be created by the instructional designer and deployed automatically in each class.

The PLDS provides an easy-to-use interface for engaging students in their learning experience. It allows students to tailor their "study plan" by including only those course subjects that are pertinent. A "smart" table of contents then guides them through the course by following their tailored study plan, providing a visual indicator of those pages that have been completed.
